You should try and complete a short walk each day as this will strengthen your muscles and it is extremely important that you are feeling strong for when you go into labour. Other exercise which you could think of doing whilst you are pregnant is joining a yoga group. Not only will it keep you using your muscles, but it is also a very relaxing type of exercise. However, it is warned that you should never exercise to the point of exhaustion or breathlessness when you are pregnant.

If you live with a smoker, it is also advised that you explain your worry about passive smoking due to the baby’s health and ask if they would mind smoking outside when you are about especially. This will massively reduce any risks of an abnormal labour.

Food and Drink

It is important that you eat and drink the right things when you are pregnant as it will make your pregnancy much easier and will make your baby much healthier. Your baby feeds off what you eat and drink so it is important that you provide your baby with all the nutrition he or she needs.
