- Sleep restriction: These involve avoiding power naps during the day, or deprive the body of sleep so that you will feel more tired at night.
- Improve sleeping habits: Exercise; maintain a regular sleeping schedule; avoid drinking caffeine or alcohol at night; avoid smoking; comfortable bedroom environment.
- Medical treatment: This treatment is only given to those suffering from chronic insomnia.
- Over-the-counter sleeping pills
- Prescription sleeping pills
